250 tons of CO2 saved
We've reached another milestone at the start of March 2022 - 250 tons of carbon saved from our 7 solar projects.
The biggest is Braywick Leisure Centre, which is also the newest. It's now reached 100,000 kW hours of production. Many thanks to all our members who've made this possible!

Heat pump opening celebration Saturday 12 Feb 2022
Our ground source heat pump project at Thames Valley Athletics Centre is finished!
We had a wonderful opening celebration with Adam Afriyie MP on 12 February 2022. He said, "We need to cut emissions from heating to tackle climate change, and we need lower energy bills, so I was delighted to open the low carbon heating system at Thames Valley Athletics Centre. Congratulations to them and to MaidEnergy Ltd
for making it happen!"
Many thanks to everyone who came! Particular thanks to Adam Afriyie MP, and Cllr Andrew Johnson, Leader, Cllr Samantha Rayner, Deputy Leader and TVAC trustee, and Cllr Donna Stimson, Sustainability Lead, from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Many thanks to our excellent contractors ISO Energy and consultants Low Carbon Alliance for giving expert tours of the site and being a pleasure to work with.

Many thanks to all our members who invested to make this possible, and to the team at TVAC who wanted to cut their carbon, worked with us to install solar panels two years ago, and now the heat pump.
This is our biggest project yet and our first one decarbonising heating. We're thrilled to have done this as heat is such a big part of getting the UK to zero emissions, and it's newer territory for community energy.
This project is possible because of the Renewable Heat Incentive, and we hope the government replace it soon so we can do more low carbon heat projects like this one. We'd love to get digging again before long.

200 tons of CO2 saved
We're delighted to reach the landmark 200 tons this summer! We've saved 230 tons of carbon from our solar panels by the end of August 2021.
Our next project will add low carbon heat to the mix - and we plan to start digging the boreholes for a ground source heat pump at Thames Valley Athletics Centre in mid-October.

So we now have £196k invested which will be used to deliver our brand new project at Thames Valley Athletics Centre for a ground source heat pump at the same time as supporting future projects.
